How We Met
We first crossed paths in high school, where a brief spark of young love flickered between us for just a month—one of those fleeting stories of teenage romance. Life carried us in different directions, but somehow we never lost touch. Over the years, through friendship, twists of fate, a touch of drama, and more than a little bit of magic, the universe kept weaving our paths back together. What began as a simple connection has transformed into something extraordinary—a love story written not just in chance encounters, but in the undeniable pull of two souls meant to find their way back to each other.
The Proposal
Elora has always been enchanted by the moon, so when I began to plan the proposal, I knew the cosmos itself had to play a role. I discovered that a rare solar eclipse would cast its shadow across our skies on April 8th, 2024. With my sister by our side, we spread out a picnic on the lawn of my home Masonic lodge and waited beneath the vast expanse of sky. As the world darkened and the stars awoke in midday silence, we found ourselves standing in the path of totality—two and a half breathtaking minutes when time seemed to stand still. In that celestial twilight, with the universe as our witness, I asked Elora to be my forever. And in that same fleeting, magical moment, she said yes.
